SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Housekeeping/Laundry Aide provides facility cleaning and laundry services for a safe, sanitary, comfortable, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and the public. Housekeeping and Laundry services are provided in accordance with facility policies and procedures and in compliance with State and Federal laws and regulations to enhance resident comfort and quality of life.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by cleaning resident rooms, common areas, floors, windows, furniture, and other facility spaces while always respecting resident dignity and privacy.
- Perform laundry services including washing, drying, folding, inspecting, stocking, and delivering resident linens and clothing while maintaining proper infection control practices.
- Follow infection prevention and safety procedures by using personal protective equipment (PPE), handling biohazardous waste appropriately, and safely using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Support resident care and facility operations by preparing rooms, stocking supplies, and responding to unit needs.
